Commercial Style Kitchen Faucets: questions before you buy
It is a home kitchen faucet with the look of a restaurant pre-rinse unit: a tall exposed spring spout around a pull-down sprayer. The spring holds the spray head where you aim it and guides it back when you let go, which is why this style is also called industrial or chef style. Ours are built for home plumbing at the standard 1.8 GPM at 60 PSI.
Yes, if you use the sink hard and have the height for one. The spring spout lets you aim the sprayer anywhere over a wide basin, and some of ours add a separate pot filler arm for big pots. The flow is the same 1.8 GPM as a standard faucet, so you are buying reach and control, not more water.
Measure from the countertop to the bottom of the cabinet or window sill above the sink, then leave about two inches so the spray head can lift out of its dock. Our commercial style kitchen faucets range from about 17 to 26 inches tall, so the shorter single-handle models fit under standard cabinets and the tallest suit islands and open window runs.
Only if you often fill tall pots. A pot filler is a second straight arm on its own lever that swivels 360 degrees, so you can fill a stockpot without squeezing it under the main spout. It shares the same hot and cold supply and single mounting hole, so it adds no extra plumbing.
No. A commercial style faucet, sometimes sold as a semi-professional kitchen faucet, is a residential fixture with a professional look, made for home plumbing and household flow rates. Ours run at 1.8 GPM at 60 PSI with ceramic disc valves and single-hole deck mounting, like any home kitchen faucet.
A single hole in the sink or countertop and standard 3/8-inch compression connections, and the supply hoses and mounting hardware come in the box. Most of our models fit countertops up to 1.5 inches thick, so check the listing if yours is thicker. A deck plate is not included, so if your sink has three holes, order one in a matching finish.
